So I thought I would just post my frustrations today with Pbwiki. Today is the day I am supposed to start the Wiki site with fourth grade. Of course this would be the day that the pbwiki server is down. I keep getting the message "this service is unavailable - please try again later" T-minus 7 minutes until the class is here to do their first round of wiki-ing (is that even a word?).
Plan B is to have them type their first round of information into a Word document and cut and paste later, however that doesn't really showcase the uses and advantages of the wiki this week.
Don't you love how reliable technology is sometimes?

I think that as a technology integration specialist you are very well prepared with a Plan B. And maybe your Plan B was a good scaffolding project. Think of this as the Design phase in DEAPR :)

Beryl, you hit the nail on the head! As elementary teacher our time is very limited, and as I too try to integrate more technology into my students day, I’ve found that just when you think you've planned things down to the very last detail, technology seem to bite you in the ...! I hope this doesn’t put teachers off!
oh boy, you have found a common cry among all the tchrs who aren't into using tech as much as the TRTs... on to plan B right? fortunately, you are always a PROBLEM SOLVER and quickly find another creative & appropriate way to get a result (or at least one piece towards the desired result)!
